Framework for a Web Internet Service
Hájek, Filip ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Hrubý, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design and implement a containerized web service, which provides the ability to create and run users' tasks. The task is only an abstraction over some particular implementation of computation. The task runs as a Docker container. The thesis also implements user management and the method of running task charging. The system architecture consists of a REST API web server and a user web environment. Worker applications are an essential component of the system. They start user tasks assigned by the server. The system was implemented using the .NET 6 framework in programming language C#. The run of the service has been simulated in a Docker environment. The service integrates existing Auth0 and Google Cloud Storage services. The result is an internet service deployed on a public cloud server.
Communication infrastructure virtualization platform
Stodůlka, Tomáš ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Uher, Václav (advisor)
The thesis deals with selection of infrastructure virtualization platform focusing on containerization with sandboxing support and with following examination of its difculty. The work begins with an explanation of the basic technologies such as: virtualization, cloud computing and containerization, along with their representatives, that mediate the technology. A special scope is defned for cloud computing platforms: Kubernetes, OpenStack and OpenShift. Futhermore, the most suitable platform is selected and deployed using own technique so that it fullflls all the conditions specifed by thesis supervisor. Within the difculty testing of the selected platform, there are created scripts (mainly in the Bash language) for scanning system load, creating scenarios, stress testing and automation.
Front-End for Generator of Test Data
Naňo, Andrej ; Křena, Bohuslav (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the design and development of the Dataster web applica- tion which provides data generating functionality for use in the testing of software. Web application is a part of the Testos platform which supports automation of software testing. Aim of the project was to create a web and application interface for the existing application dbgenx which is also part of the platform. Provided solution fulfills specified goals and is suitable for the deployment to a production environment.
Secure data archiving using cloud computing
Šulič, Martin ; Sikora, Marek (referee) ; Člupek, Vlastimil (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on detailed analysis of possibilities of implementing a private cloud and secure data archiving for a long period of time using open-source tools. It describes the individual standards and processes of data preparation, as well as the OAIS reference model for long-term preservation. From the analyzed information, a complete design of the final solution is created, with a description of the functionality and the method of deployment in the environment of Docker containers. The design implementation and the main functionality of individual systems such as Archivematica or Nextcloud are thoroughly described and also the hardware requirements and cryptographic security were evaluated.
Virtualization platform for cyber range
Horváthová, Estera ; MU, Pavel Šeda, KPSK FI (referee) ; Lieskovan, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the creation and operation of sandboxes for selected scenarios using the sandbox-creator tool, which is compatible with the KYPO project and uses the OpenStack platform. The theoretical section describes the technologies and tools used to create training platforms. Virtualization, containerization and cloud computing are described in the technologies and VirtualBox is described in the tools, Docker or OpenStack. The work also describes selected cyber range platforms that use these technologies. The practical part describes the compatibility of the selected platform with the KYPO project, the configuration tools used, the preparation of the experimental environment, the creation and operation of sandboxes for laboratory exercises, which are listed in the annex.
Containerization of Database Detectors
Oberreiter, Michal ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis deals with containerization of command-line applications including containerization of existing tools for database content analysis. The thesis is a part of Testos platform, which aims at software testing automation. The goal was to design and implement a solution that would be both universally usable for command-line applications and at the same time flexible enough to accommodate database detectors and their specific requirements. Docker was chosen as the containerization platform, on which a management system was built. This system provides both a graphical user interface and an application programming interface. The result allows for easy application management and output retrieval. The primary contribution of this thesis is the streamlining and simplification of running command-line applications with specific dependencies. These features come in form of abstracting the underlying mechanisms and providing a graphical user interface.
Web application for training and validation of machine learning models
Svoboda, Jan ; Mucha, Ján (referee) ; Galáž, Zoltán (advisor)
The delegation of resource-intensive operations to the server-side computers is an ongoing trend. Containerized applications serve as an abstraction over the servers and provide needed scalability. The architecture of the implemented application utilized as a platform for an asynchronous execution of training and validation of machine learning models is heavily influenced by the containerization. Individual users of a web application are given a separate container with prepared environment for running a model with selected parameters. Status of the training process is monitored by the application. After the result is obtained the analysis takes place and components providing visualization are rendered in the user interface.
Systém pro provoz projektových webových prostorů
Šnyrch, Jakub
The bachelor thesis deals with technologies for publishing content on web servers. Ways to create, manage and automate these servers. The thesis starts with research of available technologies, examines their use in practice. Evaluates available paid and ope source control panels. The work continues with the design of the application itself. Then it describes the steps leading to implementation and deployment on the servers of Mendel University in Brno.
Jump server preparation and implementation for game scenarios in Cyber Arena
Komárek, Ladislav ; Šeda, Pavel (referee) ; Stodůlka, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with the problematics of the containerization and virtualization. Thesis focuses on the OpenStack platform and the creation of a Jump server. The main purpose of the thesis is to create a Jump server with the SSH connection to the OpenStack instances. Thesis is divided into three parts - theoretical and practical, which has two parts. The analysis of virtualization and containerization possibilities for Jump server is included in the theoretical part of the paper. Description of the OpenStack platform and its functions is also contained in the theoretical part. Based on the theoretical analysis, a~Jump server was created in second and third part. After manually verifying the functionality of the Jump server, its creation was automated on the Openstack platform.
